L-G Directs DDA to Develop Dwarka as an International Investment Hub

Delhi Lieutenant Governor and DDA Chairperson Taranjit Singh Sandhu has directed officials to prepare a strategic and time-bound roadmap to transform Dwarka into a leading destination for domestic and global investment.

During a high-level meeting with senior DDA officials, discussions focused on the development potential of Dwarka, Rohini, and Narela as emerging economic zones within the capital. The initiative aims to position these sub-cities as modern urban growth centers supported by world-class infrastructure and enhanced connectivity.

With rapid development through the Urban Extension Road (UER), metro expansion, transit-oriented development policies, and close proximity to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Dwarka is being recognized as one of Delhi’s most promising investment corridors.

Major developments such as Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, the upcoming Diplomatic Enclave, and large investment-ready land parcels are expected to further accelerate commercial growth and attract both national and international investors.

According to officials, the transformation of these regions will not only create significant investment opportunities but also generate employment and support sustainable urban expansion across Delhi. Stakeholder consultations are expected before the final development action plan is implemented.
